Road Tales
My personal road stories, what its really like!
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic
hallway where thieves, pimps and demons run free, and good men die like
dogs. There's also a negative side." --Hunter S Thompson--
OK, I think the first road story I want to share is when I was on the road with Steelheart, in Europe. We
worked like animals. We did 21 countries in 23 days. One day I remember we were on a ferry. The
bus driver woke me up and said, "Andy everyone has to be off the bus, so you have to go up to the
deck with everyone else". I was beat and I remember walking up these metal staircase on this huge
ferry. I get to the top of the stairs and walk out on to the deck where the rest of the band and crew
was. I stood there with them and I said "what the F**K is that?'". One of the guys said that is the Cliffs
Of Dover! I never seen anything so beautiful in my life before. I was so close to the cliffs, I felt like I
could touch them. I was just gazing at them, then one of the guys handed me a "J" and I hit It like a
champ, memorized by the cliffs. Then Milijenko (Michael) the singer started to sing, like a bird. I have
no idea what he was singing but I still hear his voice in my minds ear, when I think about that moment.
It was like I was in heaven! So in closing, don't take the free gifts in life, that God gives, for granted.
Be thankful for the beauty that he has created on this planet, because I am so thankful for his free
gifts!

Stay strong my friends, God bless
Andy

I think my next road story should be one of the times I was in Amsterdam Holland! I have to see what I
remember, LOL. Hang in there and I will be posting It really soon!
