Hey my fans and friends, it has been awhile. What a ride, my life has been since "Brother From
Another Mother". Damn now, I don't even know were to begin. After "BFAM" release, my career,
took off as you all remember. I ended up leaving Los Angeles, to move on and start a new
chapter in my life. I found myself moving around the south, Nashville, North Carolina, Daytona
Beach. I was lost, trying to find myself. So to make a long story short, I went through hell and
back, probably more times than I have hair on my head. I lost allot of loved one recently. It just
blows my mind, how short life is! I love my life, I really do.
I just can't get enough of music. So here I am, stronger than ever, I'm a one man f**kin army,
playing with more soul than ever. The animal is back inside of me, hungrier than ever before!!!!
The ones that know me, know that I have a drive within me and I don't stop till I get what I want. I
will make things happen or I will die trying to make them happen. I am going to my grave with my
guitar around!!
So, I called my friend, my bro Scott Childress (who sang on "Brother") up and said "Yo man, we
need to do a record". Scott was like "I've been waiting to do a record with you". Scott and I are
currently writing songs like mad. The first week I sent him over 13 songs. Scott continues to sing
with a wealth of soul and meaning. His vocal range is incredible and his lyric writing just amazes
me. Our goal is to write like 30 tunes and chose the best of the best, record them and put the
record out to ya! The music is different than what most of you know about my playing. But don't
worry, I'm still shredding the guitar up with tons of feel and insane technique. Scott's vocals also
have improved, tons of soul, feeling and power!
On our new CD, I will be doing a duet with my guitar teacher and the late Ted Greene. Kinda the
same way I did a duet with my mama. I have 100's of lesson tapes from him and I always wanted
to do a recording with him. When Ted passed, it destroyed me and I miss him deeply. The new
CD will be all vocals except the song I do with Ted.
Now, it is time to go record and write some more. Keep the love alive for me and I must say I have
the best fans & friends a man could ask for! God bless! It's time to go play a few thousand notes!
